“Inbox.lv is very grateful to all its users for their loyalty, which is beyond doubt, since for the third year now Inbox.lv has been among the three most loved brands in Latvia. Moreover, this year we have risen from third to second place, behind only Google,” said Inbox.lv Chairman of the Board Andris Griķis after receiving the award, upon learning the results of this year’s ranking of Latvia’s most loved brands.
“It is not easy for us to compete with the leader of the ranking, Google, because Google leads not only the Latvian ranking but also many global ratings. But we can be very proud that in the Latvian market, compared to other countries, the balance of power between the globally operating Google and the local player is very much in our favour. In many countries such local players never managed to emerge or were forced to give up. Inbox.lv currently feels very stable and secure in the Latvian market,” believes Andris Griķis.
“I think the basis of our success is the safety and stability of Inbox.lv’s operation. Every one of our users has seen for themselves how consistently and securely Inbox.lv operates. Emails and attachments, as well as photos and files, are always where the user has stored them. Caring for security and stability seems self-evident to us, but we also know how much inconvenience and even tragedy users have experienced when dealing with service providers that care more about their attractiveness and immediate profit,” says Inbox.lv Product Manager Nataļja Grigorjeva.
“It is probably already hard to find an internet user in Latvia who has never sent or received a message from an email address hosted by Inbox.lv. That is why for several years now Inbox.lv has called itself the National e-service, as the company’s operation affects the majority of Latvia’s population. It is both an honour and a great responsibility, which we understand,” says Nataļja Grigorjeva.
Inbox.lv is not only an email service provider, although most users associate Inbox.lv precisely with email. Besides email, there are also the foto.inbox.lv galleries, where you can post a great many photos, which can be grouped, edited, commented on and offered to others for download. Larger files can be stored and transferred at files.inbox.lv. The leisure options are also becoming ever wider, including games.inbox.lv, sharpening your mind with smart.inbox.lv, as well as funny jokes, photos and video clips at fun.inbox.lv.
“We are currently rightly proud that most Latvian residents open their private email at Inbox.lv, but thinking about the future, we also have to think about how to attract schoolchildren, because in ten years or so today’s schoolchildren will be Inbox.lv’s most active audience. We need to get schoolchildren used to email in good time. For adults this form of communication is largely self-evident, but children often use social networks instead of email, so, caring for the sustainability of email, we are also thinking about attracting schoolchildren,” believes Inbox.lv Marketing Manager Elizabete Piuse, recalling that, for example, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had previously predicted that over time social networks would completely take over the functions of email.
There has been much discussion about whether the word “most loved” is the most appropriate and suitable one. Elizabete Piuse, referring to what the study organisers have said, explains that it is a catchy name and should be seen as an attention-grabbing title rather than taken literally. Brand lovers are those consumers for whom the brand has become their favourite choice.
